Every Kout group has its own legends: the night that ran until dawn, the comeback nobody saw coming, the partnership that won round after round. Kout records are not tracked by any official body. They live in the memories of the players, in notebooks, and in the points saved after each session.
The most talked-about record in any group is the longest session. Some groups start after evening prayer and keep playing until the call to dawn prayer, seven or eight hours without leaving the table. Time alone is not a fair measure, because breaks for coffee, prayer, and guests shape every night differently. That is why serious players count a long night by complete rounds or by total points recorded. A session with more than thirty rounds is a genuine achievement, since focus drops after midnight.
This is where the drama lives. A team down by sixty or seventy points that flips the session in the last two rounds gives the group a story for years. The biggest comeback does not need long hours. It needs steady nerves and a partner who reads the table well. Most of those stories end with a narrow final margin. That is why round-by-round scoring matters: the recovery only becomes believable when you can see it in the numbers. The records groups compete for most:
There is no single rulebook, and every group sets its own agreement. Some count pure playing time and exclude breaks, while others only count full rounds. The number of players changes everything too: a four-player session is a different game from a six- or eight-player table. A record in one group can look ordinary in another, and some groups agree on house rules before the first round so the comparison stays fair. The point is not comparison, it is the spirit of competition and knowing exactly who won, who lost, and by how much.
Documentation has become part of the game. Many groups use the Kout Score app to record points round by round and follow how teams and partners perform across a whole session. The app is built for scoring and tracking points only, it does not play Kout online; it is a tool that supports the real table. Kout Score is free on Google Play, and every past session stays available so you can look back at the points path, the number of rounds played, and who your partner was. That way a record rests on written numbers instead of memory.
Records also give an ordinary night a second purpose. Instead of a routine session, you have a shot at breaking an old number, and some groups announce the goal before the first round: tonight we beat the longest night. Even when a record is never official, it stays real to the people who set it.
If your group plays regularly, start tracking from the first round. Download Kout Score, free on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.q8dm.kout and let your numbers speak for themselves. Maybe this week you break your own longest night.
